WAITING FOR KENNY

Kenny is the mechanic who rebuilt the pump for me.  He gets universally high reviews.  I am eager to get him aboard because I'm pretty sure he will know where the coolant is going and how to fix it.

Yesterday I ran the engine then removed the intake manifold.  There was no water in the intakes, but I have left the manifold off so Kenny can see the condition of the valves.  They might need to be reseated.

  1. I am a friend of the Burfords and have been lurking on this site for some time. As an avid boater, I sympathise with your ongoing updates. I trust the mechanic will confirm that everything is functioning as it should. Not much is scarier on the water than a motor one cannot rely on.

    1. Hi Rick,

Thanks for the comment. You are right about losing a motor at sea. Fortunately we have sails and I think we could learn how to use them if we had to. But it is one of biggest fears.
